Found in the historic Kilmartin valley, this is a museum of ancient culture where you can view an interactive map link to 100 ancient sites all within the Kilmartin area.
The Forestry Commision in the Mid Argyll area have many well signposted walks and mountain bike tracks all open for public access.
This site will guide you through the many trekking centres in the Mid Argyll area and beyond.

The Crinan Canal from Ardrishaig, Loch Fyne to Crinan on the West Coast. Not only does this provide a short cut for boats but it is also a beautiful walk or cycle away from traffic. Passing through Cairnbaan and Belanoch on the way.
The Cairnbaan Hotel is quiet corner where good food is served all day, while you watch the boats passing through the Crinan Canal.
The scenic town of Inveraray, only 40 minutes drive from Ormsary, is well worth a visit. Inveraray Castle is open all year round to visitors.
Inveraray Jail is another historical attraction worth visiting in Inveraray. A restored 19th century county jail.
Island Hopping - Cal Mac
Calmac ferries from Oban run from several locations in and around Mid Argyll. The Islands of Islay and Jura can be reached from West Loch Tarbert, Arran can be visited for a day leaving from Skipness and Mull and Iona can be reached leaving from Oban which is only an hours drive from the Ormsary Lodges.
