By Road

From Edinburgh and Glasgow, head for Inveraray. Take the A83 Campbeltown road through Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig. Approximately 2 miles from the Crinan canal bridge in Ardrishaig, turn right onto the B8024, signposted Kilberry. The B8024 is a single track road but there are plenty of passing places. Please use the passing places to allow overtaking. After approximately 6 miles you will see a driveway on the left with a green and white sign for Barnlongart House. Barnlongart Keepers Cottage is on the right hand side, opposite the driveway.

Ormsary can also be reached via Oban to the north following the A816 to Lochgilphead and then through toward Tarbert till you find the sign post for the B8024 sign posted Kilberry as above.

By Ferry

There is a ferry link route, this is a fairly long roundabout route to take but can be done if anyone would prefer to travel by ferry. There is a ferry running from Greenock, or Gourock to Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula, from there travellers have to drive to Portavadie where they can catch another ferry to Tarbert, Loch Fyne. From there it is a 40 minute drive to our holiday cabins.

The other ferry route which can be taken is from Ardrossan to the island of Arran and from there there is a smaller ferry from Lamlash to Skipness on the Kintyre Peninsula. It is a drive of aproximately 1 hour to the holiday lodges. All ferries mentioned are run by Caledonian MacBrayne (tel. 08705 650000) or on line reservations can be made on www.calmac.co.uk/reservations.
